The CEDAR DNS2000 has been nominated for a Cinema Audio Society award

CEDAR Audio DNS2000 audio restoration system nominated for CAS Award

15 August 2007

CEDAR Audio was recently honoured by a nomination for a Cinema Audio Society (CAS) award for outstanding achievement in sound mixing. Nominated in the Post Production Technologies category, we were unaware that our CEDAR DNS2000 Dialogue Noise Suppressor had been selected for this honour, so we would like to thank the anonymous nominator and those who voted for it.

The DNS2000 is an implementation of CEDAR's Dialogue Noise Suppression technology designed specifically for Pro Tools™ users. You can configure up to 126 individual DNS2000s as a single system, making it more than adequate for the largest studio and post installations. With near-zero latency and a fast, intuitive user interface, the DNS2000 eliminates traffic noise, aircraft, air conditioning, wind, rain, tape hiss, and general background noise from recordings and live transmissions.

The CAS consists of over 550 Sound Mixers and Associates from the Film and Television Industries. It was founded to create a proper channel of communication between the related sound crafts and between those instrumental to the production and distribution of film and television soundtracks.
