Jakarta-based broadcaster Radio Sonora has purchased four CEDAR Series X and Series X+ processors to restore its library of LPs, cassettes and reel-to-reel tapes.

Johannes A. Zacharia at Radio Sonora says, "We are delighted with our CEDAR units, and have installed them in our production room. We have 7000 LPs, and most of these are damaged. They suffer from clicks, crackle, and hiss problems. We are using the Series X and Series X+ units to restore this collection, as well as old cassettes and reels. The entire catalogue will eventually be transferred to CD."

Deborah Coral, CEDAR's Marketing Manager added, "We are delighted to have provided this equipment to restore part of the Indonesian audio heritage. South East Asia is still a new and exciting market for us, and we are committed to supporting our dealers and customers, as well as providing a high level of service in the region."

Radio Sonora's purchase of a DCX declicker, a CRX decrackler, a DHX dehisser, and a AZX+ azimuth corrector was arranged by Philip Moss of Three Monkeys Technology.
