CEDAR Forensic to exhibit and present seminar at Global Security Asia 2007

Global Security Asia addresses the fundamental aspects of global terrorism, creating opportunities for government and commercial organisations to interact and discuss the use of state of the art technologies and equipment to combat terrorism.

The 3-day conference gathers international industry experts and speakers from the government and various key industries in security, surveillance and intelligence to share experiences, knowledge and expertise.

Concentrating on real world techniques for cleaning up poor quality covert recordings, Alan French (Senior Audio Forensic Consultant and Forensic Manager at CEDAR Audio), will discuss what types of processes are suitable for given types of recordings and how they may be applied to achieve optimum results.

Background to the seminar:

Alan French, CEDAR Forensic, Cambridge, UKWith more than twenty years experience (thirteen as a Technical Officer at the London Metropolitan Police Forensic Audio Laboratory) Alan French is a recognised expert in the field of audio forensic investigation. An expert courtroom witness, he has dealt with thousands of criminal and civil cases, and has received Police Awards for his work.

Mr French has been instrumental in the introduction of some widely-used enhancement techniques, many based on the emergence of CEDAR Audio's restoration and speech enhancement technology. He has trained numerous police and security personnel in the arts of making good quality recordings, specifically in relation to their requirements for undercover recordings.
