CEDAR adopts the Quiet Pro keyboard and adds improved USB accessibility to CEDAR Cambridge

CEDAR Cambridge Series IV Quiet Pro keyboard

26 June 2015

UK: For some time, users have been requesting simpler access to the USB ports on the CEDAR Cambridge host system, so the company has been investigating upgrades to the server hardware to make this possible. However, a better solution has now presented itself, and CEDAR is pleased to announce the introduction of the Quiet Pro keyboard as standard on all CEDAR Cambridge systems shipped from this date onward.

Not only does the Quiet Pro feel good and respond more quickly than lower-cost keyboards, it offers traditional sculpted keytops for more confident typing, and (as its name implies) it's really quiet, which can be a boon when working in high quality audio environments.

Perhaps most important of all, the keyboard offers three USB 2.0 ports, allowing users to load or stream audio directly through CEDAR Cambridge from USB drives and memory sticks without having to use a USB extender cable or to reach around to the motherboard's ports on the rear of the system itself.

Availability

The Quiet Pro keyboard is immediately available and is supplied at no extra cost on all CEDAR Cambridge Series IV systems.
