The APPSS is a non-profit association dedicated to the support of British companies supplying the public security sector, and it represents the interests of its members at all levels. Through the Association, CEDAR Audio maintains close contacts with UK government departments (the Home Office, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office), police forces, Customs and Excise departments, as well as the prison and immigration services.
Links are also maintained with interior ministries and overseas agencies where there is a potential of export and the APPSS Market Information Services handles requests for British security equipment from many parts of the world.
With assistance from the Department of Trade and Industry and the Home Office, the APPSS organises British groups at a range of international exhibitions, and oversees both inward and outward marketing missions.
