CEDAR Audio is the world's only company dedicated solely to audio restoration and speech enhancement for film, post-production, TV and radio broadcast, CD and DVD mastering, libraries and archives, and for forensic audio investigation.

Established in 1988 following five years of research funded by the British Library National Sound Archive (BLNSA) CEDAR Audio is based in Cambridge, UK, and retains strong academic links with Cambridge University, itself one of the world's leading centres for digital signal processing research. The Company currently includes two Cambridge University Professors and a College Lecturer among its Directors, further strengthening its ability to remain at the forefront of its field.

Developer - Macintosh audio software

We have an immediate vacancy for a software developer with good background and skills using C++ in the Macintosh environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating, maintaining and further developing a range of Macintosh (OSX) based packages. These will include plug-in modules for popular audio editors such as Pro Tools®, and remote control software for the company's hardware products.

He/she will have the ability to write reliable and maintainable software, and will be able to learn quickly. A good understanding and background in C++ will be required, but significant on-the-job training will also be provided. As the individual develops within the company, he or she will significantly influence the design, form and functionality of these packages and will have the opportunity to become more widely involved in the Company's development.

Remuneration: The starting salary will be based upon the successful candidate's experience.
